Hospitality workers could face a higher tax bill this summer due to a new law on tips.
It protects their tips but also means they need to pay tax if they receive one directly from customers.
Taxback Business Development Director, Marian Ryan it's important to tell the taxman:
"Make sure that you do declare any tips that you received to the Tax Office, to the Taxman and that the taxes are deducted on it. Now, if you're a PAYE employee and you're just earning a small amount of tips there, if you declare it to the taxman, what they can do is they can actually deduct your tax credits the following year".
