The Tanaiste says the Labour Court recommendation on the Aer Lingus dispute is strong and significant.

The airline has already accepted the recommendation of an almost 18 per cent pay rise over four years.

IALPA is meeting today to decide whether to recommend its pilots accept or reject the offer.

Flights in and out of Cork Airport have had little disruption in the work to rule but the London Heathrow service has been impacted.

Micheal Martin hopes the row is finally resolved.

"So it's very, very important that the travelling public are now given the break and that they can look forward to the next period with certainty in respect of their travel arrangements. Sothink it's a very strong recommendation, a significant one, by the Labour Court and I would hope that that would bring a resolution to this now, once and for all"
