Home birth services in the mid-west have been suspended after the death of a woman in Co. Limerick.
In a statement, UL Hospital Group says the decision was made to allow an external review be carried out.
It says contact has been made with a small number of women in the region who were due to have home births in the coming months in relation to continuing their care.
