Help is at hand for older people and those with disabilities who need to adapt their home.
Housing Minister Darragh O'Brien says they're to benefit from Housing Adaptation Grant funding of €83 million.
It will help them live independently in their own homes this year and is a 2.3 per cent increase in money on 2022.
It's expected to result in 12,300 grants.
