Grocery inflation in Ireland has hit 7.7%, the highest level in 14 years.

Take-home grocery sales fell by over 3% in the 12 weeks leading up to mid-July.

Consumers are attempting to cut costs by turning to generic brands, and reducing the frequency of their shopping.
