The Government's being warned not to push ahead with new contracts for consultants without proper consultation.
Today's Irish Times reports Health Minister Stephen Donnelly intends to introduce the new consultants' contract as early as next month.
However the Irish Medical Organisation is warning the consultation process is still underway.
Dr Matthew Sadlier Chairs the IMO Consultant Committee - he says they're still waiting to hear back from their members:
"The government is relying on roughly 2,500 and 2,750 consultants switching contracts here, from one contract to another contract. So it would normally make sense that we would have some sort of consultation period with these people to see whether or not there is any problems in the negotiations, any problems with this document that we didn't foresee in the consultation period - with a wider group".
