Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch has been warned by Gardai that his life in danger after being acquitted of the murder of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel.
He's a free man after being found not guilty by the Special Criminal Court yesterday of the 2016 gun killing.
2 other men - Paul Murphy and Jason Bonney - were found guilty of facilitating the murder.
Local Counillor Nial Ring says people in Dublin's north inner city now want to concentrate on the positives they have.
"We have our great ambassodors in the north inner city, like Kellie Harrington and Barry Keoghan, just great inspiration.
"The north inner city will continue, as we always have done, to look after the young, the old, the homeless, the vulnerable.
"It's a great place, and this has just been a distraction."
