Gardai are investigating if there was a hate related motive in the killing of a man in Co. Sligo.
A murder investigation's underway after the body of Aidan Moffitt was found at a house in Cartron Heights on Monday night.
The 41-year-old auctioneer's said to have suffered "significant physical injuries".
Officers are examining if he met his attacker online, and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Crime Correspondent with the Irish Times, Conor Gallagher, says the investigation's at an early stage.
"The initial inquiries seem to suggest that he may have left into the house. So Gardai are looking at who Mr. Moffit might have been in contact in recent days, both online and offline, including possibly dating apps.
"This is very early in the day, but those are the roads the Gardai are going down at the minute."
