A lawyer is still being questioned by Gardai in relation to death of a man in a shooting in Dublin earlier this week.

35-year-old Keith Conlon was pronounced dead in Tallaght Hospital yesterday, after being on life-support for about 48 hours.

The father-of-four was shot in the head on Tuesday afternoon, after an alleged row over a dog while hunting near Tallaght.

Gary Meneely, a news reporter with The Irish Sun, says a man is still in Garda custody in connection with the case.

"Gardai arrested a man at the scene, the man is a leading barrister who is in his 50s.

"The suspect is being detained at Tallaght Garda Station, and the decision to charge or release him must be made today.

"The Garda investigation has been upgraded to that of a fatal shooting following the death of Mr. Conlon. Gardai have seized a licensed handgun."
