An Garda Siochána has collected more than €4 million in the past 18 months to police events and concerts.
Freedom of Information data, published by the Irish Independent, reveals officers worked at non-public duty events including Hollywood film sets and sports matches.
A series of concerts at Malahide Castle in Dublin in June saw MCD pay more than €271,000 for a Garda presence at the event.
Gardaí say the work at these events is normally performed by members who would 'otherwise be off-duty'.
The amount of money paid to the force last year increased significantly, as the lifting of pandemic restrictions allowed large-scale events to resume.
