Gardaí are undertaking a 'high-visibility campaign on trains and trams this evening to tackle anti-social behaviour.
Patrols will continue until 11 o'clock tonight at Connolly and Heuston Stations, as well as eight inter-city routes across the country.
While local Gardaí will have crime prevention advice stands in Cork, Waterford, Dublin, Wexford, Limerick, Galway, Tralee, Dundalk , Westport, and Sligo.
'Annoyance' and 'theft' are among the most common incidents reported.
