Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon is a former captain of the Mayo county team and a two time All Star winning footballer.
He wants to know if the GAA explored other broadcasting options once a deal with Sky Sports ended.
"Questions need to be asked if RTE simply agreed to keep games behind a paywall to increase revenue for GAAGO and themselves.
"That's despite RTE receiving increased state funding. RTE now has more sports rights than it can broadcast."
