Funding's been announced for a new pilot scheme to provide hot meals for children in early learning and childcare settings.
Children's Minister Roderic O'Gorman's confirmed €150,000 will be used to test a range of meal options including breakfasts, snacks and hot meals.
The settings taking part in the pilot scheme will also have the help of a dietician to assist with meal options.
It's part of the Government's 'First 5' strategy for babies, young children and families, aimed at tackling childhood poverty and supporting children's health.
