Free Now have pulled their sponsorship of the The Tommy Tiernan show.
The announcement follows controversial comments made by Tiernan in a comedy set in Vicar Street last week about taxi drivers.
Speaking to the Sunday Independent, a rep for the taxi company says it still plans to work with RTE on other projects going forward.
RTE Presenter Emer O'Neill walked out of the Tiernan's set last week, stating that she considered the joke to be 'overtly racist.'
The comedian has since phoned Ms. O'Neill to apologise, and has pulled the topic from his set.
