Former journalist Charlie Bird says his motor neurone disease is getting 'progressively worse'.
It comes five weeks after he climbed Croagh Patrick in Co Mayo, in aid of the MND Association and Pieta.
The 'Climb with Charlie' project has raised 2.5 million euro for the two charities - and he says that'll reach 3 million next month.
Using a machine that clones his voice, the 72-year-old has given an update on his condition, in the company of his dog:
"I cannot hide from the fact that my motor neuron disease is progressively getting worse but while I still can, I am going to continue to extend the hand of friendship. I would love to hug you all and get Tiger to give you a lick. Thanks and stay safe".
