Former Ireland striker Michael Robinson passes away

The former Republic of Ireland and Liverpool striker Michael Robinson has sadly died at the age of 61.

He had been suffering from skin cancer.

Robinson made 24 appearances for the national team, scoring 4 goals.

He won the First Division, League Cup and European Cup with Liverpool in 1984.

Robinson also played for Preston, Manchester City, Brighton, QPR and Osasuna, before carving out a successful second career as a TV presenter in Spain.
