Energy customers are being encouraged to continue switching suppliers to benefit from savings.
New research from the Commission for Regulation of Utilities found customers could have saved an average of 581 euro by switching their electricity provider in 2021, and 316 euro on gas.
Almost half a million energy customers did switch last year, up 15 per cent on 2020.
