The Green Party leader says his party will be supporting the Foreign Affairs Minister when he faces a vote of no confidence in the Dail.
Simon Coveney will face the Sinn Fein motion on Wednesday following the Katherine Zappone controversy.
Environment Minister Eamon Ryan says his party will be backing Minister Coveney.
"Yes we will. There were mistakes made, the process wasn't right.
"But we believe the Government has important work to do, it is a well functioning Government, we work well together.
"Each of us will make mistakes, there will be things that we will need to change and pull each other up on.
"This is a Government and that can and will, and has in my mind, managed our way through an incredibly difficult Covid crisis."
