Drivers are being urged to take care and look out for trick or treaters this evening.
The advice comes on the first restrictionless Halloween since the COVID pandemic.
Children across the country are expected to be out sweet-collecting in force tonight.
Ger O'Dea, Community Engagement Manager for the National Ambulance Service has this advice:
"The main advice that we could give to everyone today is to just to make sure to have a good safe and enjoyable Halloween, you're going to have a lot of children on the road, you know on the footpath most likely, are going to be wearing some sort of black, drivers need to be extra vigilant. You know for kids that might come up from behind a parked vehicle and appearance to just make them nice and visible."
