The Director of Public Prosecutions has recommended "no prosecution" in the latest Garda investigation into the disappearance and murder of Deirdre Jacob.
Gardaí say her family has been informed of the decision, and its efforts to bring her killer to justice remain active.
Ms Jacob was 19 when she went missing close to her family home in Newbridge, Co. Kildare on July 28th, 1998.
Her case was upgraded to murder in 2018, after a review by the Serious Crime Review Team.
