A demonstration will kick off later in Dublin calling for a change in Government, not just a change of Taoiseach.
The Cost of Living Coalition says the protest outside the Dáil at 1pm, will slam the Government for failing to introduce rent controls.
As Leo Varadkar prepares to take over the role today, it says households are also reeling from the Cost of Living crisis.
Spokesperson for the group, Eddie Conlon says people are finding it too hard to make ends meet:
“The reality is that, across the country households are struggling like never before. 80% of households say they have experienced cuts in their income in the past year. Many people don't think it’s going to get any better. And we have the horrendous situation with nearly two thirds of people over 70 are saying they’re cutting back on their fuel”.
