It's understood the death of a man in Newbridge, Co Kildare, is NOT currently being treated as suspicious.
Gardaí received a report of an alleged assault when a woman in her 30s presented herself to Newbridge Garda Station in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Subsequently, officers arrived at a home in the Newbridge area where they discovered the body of the man in his 40s.
Investigations are ongoing, but it's believed Gardaí are not treating the man's death as suspicious.
