Cork University Hospital is once again the most overcrowded hospital in the country with 54 patients being treated on trolleys at the facility today.
The figures from the INMO come as the Health Service Executive is expected to tell TDs and Senators its winter plan will continued to be monitored, to inform 'lessons learned'.
HSE officials will appear before the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Health this morning to discuss the record numbers of people who've had to wait on trolleys in recent weeks.
This morning there were 365 people on trolleys in emergency departments across the country.
Sinn Féin's David Cullinane says the situation hospitals are facing is 'dire'.
"Only a few short weeks ago we had the senior officials and the interim head of the HSE in before the Oireachtas health committee to discuss the winter plan for this year.
"It was very obvious to anyone watching that session that the HSE was not properly equipping hospitals, that we were not going to have the capacity that was necessary, and that the winter plan was going to fail.
"The winter plan did fail, and we've ended up with a very dire situation."
