CSO figures show a slight decrease in the crime rate in Ireland during 2021 compared to a year previous.
However, more than two-thirds of Garda divisions outside of Dublin recorded rises in crime levels.
The increase is down to a huge surge in fraud, especially outside of the capital.
Crime incidents in Mayo increased the most, with over ten per cent rises in the likes of Wexford and Kildare.
