The country has been battered by strong winds and heavy rain overnight, and there's more to come.
A status orange wind warning is now in effect for Cork and Kerry until 8am, with yellow alerts coming into force for the entire country from 8 o'clock this morning.
But the north-west should be prepared for the worst of the gusts.
Meteorologist with Met Éireann, Paul Downes outlines what's expected in the coming hours.
"There were some very strong winds over the south/southwest of the country overnight.
"Winds are now going to switch around to the northwest/north throughout the day. The strongest wins will be up over Sligo, Mayo, Donegal and Leitrim.
"You'll get some very severe gusts anywhere across the country really, and there will be some showery outbreaks of rain."
