A sexual assault survivor says she believes her attack will always remain with her.
Rachel McElroy was 18 when she was sexually assaulted on a college night out in Cork city in 2019.
Her attacker was subsequently convicted and jailed for seven years last December.
It comes as a new survey from the Department of Justice found women are almost twice as afraid of being physically attacked by a stranger, compared to men.
