Cork Motorists are being urged to take care this morning Cork as most of the country is under a Status Yellow Fog Warning.
The alert for Munster and Leinster is in place until midday.
The forecaster says fog and freezing fog is affecting many areas, and it'll be slow to lift.
Brian Farrell from the Road Safety Authority says motorists should take exercise extreme caution.
"Met Eireann are warning of dense fog in places, and also freezing fog.
"That will pose some challenging driving conditions and hazardous driving conditions over the coming days."
