Consumers are being urged to shop around when it comes to energy prices.
That's the message from the Consumers Association of Ireland as households will have to wait a few months for electricity and gas costs to drop.
It comes after the Irish Independent reported wholesale gas costs are returning to pre-Ukraine war levels.
Consumers Association Chairman Michael Kilcoyne says it's hard to know yet what'll happen:
"It is very difficult to say what effect this will have on gas prices or indeed electricity prices, which are paid directly by the consumer. Many of these companies agree the prices of gas for three, four sometimes six months in advance. So clearly, some of them will be locked into these prices."
