Complaints about lawyers rose by 12 percent last year according to the legal services watchdog.
Details in the Irish Independent reveal 1,599 complaints in 2021, the majority of which relate to solicitors.
Just 39 were related to barristers in 2021.
The total of over 1,500 complaints to the Legal Services Regulatory Authority last year compares with 1,422 complaints in 2020.
