The screening programme is reducing the number of people who are diagnosed with cervical cancer, according to Cervical Check.
As part of Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, anyone who's due their smear test is being urged to make an appointment.
The service said it witnessed a big increase in screening numbers in 2021, as it caught up with appointments missed due to pandemic restrictions.
Routine screening appointments were paused between March and July 2020, during early Covid-19 restrictions.
