There's a call for mortgage terms to be extended up to 50 years, to help boost home ownership.
It's one measure the Institute of Auctioneers and Valuers is suggesting to the government, as part of its pre-Budget submission.
The organisation also wants to see an extension of the Help to Buy Scheme and the introduction of income limits.
IPAV says they're needed to address the current situation, where home ownership has become almost the exclusive preserve of those on higher incomes.
