The government is coming under pressure to introduce promised legislation on marketing junk food at children.
The Irish Heart Foundation says 79% of people would support a TV ban on unhealthy food and drink ads being extended to 9pm.
Advocacy Campaign Manager with the Foundation Helena O'Donnell says the government need to act on their commitment.
"Irish politicians can and must act to stem the flood of unhealthy marketing.
"We had a commitment in the government in 2020 on this issue, so it's urgent that we have legislative action in the public health obesity bill, much like they've done this year in the UK."
