An animal charity is warning against giving horses as communion gifts.
Gardaí have seen a huge rise in enforcing legislation to protect the animals in urban areas of Dublin.
That's according to My Lovely Horse Rescue, which says the gifting of horses for occasions like birthdays and communions is increasing.
