The number of men undergoing a vasectomy in Ireland has increased massively in recent years.
One clinic reported a tenfold increase in patients under 35 seeking the procedure over the past five years.
The practice is becoming more common as the surgery has become non invasive and it becomes more socially acceptable to be childless.
Dr. John McCormick of Vasectomy Ireland says a mental health problem is one of the many reasons why men decide to take this step.
