The Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue, will launch an initiative for women in business in rural Ireland this morning.
ACORNS receives over 200 applications each year to help support Women in business and provide opportunities to enhance their prospects.
50 participants will be selected to participate in the annual scheme which is funded by the Department of Agriculture.
Joanne Browne founder of Jo Brown Ireland who has taken part, describes what to expect:
"I was lucky enough to be picked for the acorn program two in 2017. Applications are now open for programme four of acorn. The program is run for six months, the top 50 are paid and then you're split into teams of 10, so each team will get a lead entrepreneur."
