New figures show funding was put in place for 20 eating disorder staff last year but this was less than half the 47 promised by the government.

The lack of public services means many of those suffering have to seek help in emergency departments.

17 year old Sarah describes her experience:

"We had to go to a&e because CAMHS, the doctor in CAMHS sent me. I was hooked onto a drip because I was so weak I passed out and threw up. When I came tonight they said we're gonna find a bed for me, but like there was no bed, so I had to sleep on the floor, literally just had a jacket over me as a blanket and I was still hooked to the drip and sleeping on the floor just waiting for a bed and they didn't come give me a bed until like midday next day."
