Five people are still being questioned about allegations of impersonating Gardai.
Detectives investigating a criminal gang involved in theft and fraud carried out six searches in three counties in the east of the country yesterday morning.
Four men, aged from their 30s to 60s, and one woman in her 50s were arrested.
3 thousand euro in cash, five vehicles, and three Rolex watches were also seized.
The investigation - based out of Kilkenny Garda Station - is ongoing.
