33 women are en route to Kerry, for the return of the Rose of Tralee.
The Kerry Sports Academy is the new home of the annual festival, which will see Roses from all corners of the globe take to the stage.
This year for the first time, the competition permitted trans applicants who identify as female and those who are married.
Host Dáithí Ó Sé says people and their stories are to the fore of this festival.
