241 medicines are currently out-of-stock in Ireland.
There are also shortages in eyedrops, with 11 products to treat hay fever currently unavailable.
The latest Medicine Shortages Index, which is put together by Azure Pharmaceuticals, also shows 13 treatments on the WHO's, 'critical medicines' are currently unavailable here.
Pharmacist, Sheena Mitchell, says legislation here is seeing drug manufacturers being paid less for some medicines.
"In the context of a landscape where medicines are unavailable, some of the medicines that are being forced to price cuts are already on the medicines shortage list.
"We're telling manufacturers that you cannot meet your demand, and you're considering where you're going to send these medicines in Europe if you have any stock at all - and we're telling you that we will pay you less."!
