10 lawyers were paid over 300,000 euro each by the Director of Public Prosecutions last year, for criminal work in the courts.
Two solicitors got over half a million euro each, according to freedom of information figures.
The DPP employs barristers to prosecute on its behalf in various criminal courts.
It has in-house solicitors who work on cases in Dublin, but state solicitors in private practice are contracted to represent the DPP outside the capital.
The total amount paid out last year by the DPP was over 28 million euro - compared to less than 25 million in 2021.
Five barristers and five state solicitors got over 300,000 euro each last year.
One barrister was paid 386,000 last year by the DPP, while the highest paid state solicitor got over 536,000 euro.
