Indiependence Founder Says Banning Alcohol At Gigs Will Lead To Other Problems

Hundreds of concerts and music events have been cancelled due to Covid-19

The Arts Minister Catherine Martin and Health Minister Stephen Donnelly are due to meet today to discuss how to increase the number of people allowed to attend concerts and other music events.

The current rules allow 50 people to visit attractions such as museums, cinemas, theatres and art galleries, however all other events have a six-person limit.

Speaking to RedFM News, founder of the Indiependence music festival in Mitchelstown Shane Dunne says the industry needs to be consulted before any changes are made:
