A murder investigation has been launched by Gardaí after a 22 year old man was found dead in a secluded area near Ashbourne, Co Meath.
Mahamud Ilyas was found at Belgree Lane in Kilbride on Saturday.
A post mortem has been carried out on Mr Ilyas' remains, the results of which won't be released for operational reasons.
Crime Correspondent with the Irish Times, Conor Gallagher, says a man walking his dog made the discovery:
"There was a body wrapped in kind of a heavy like material, believed to be a carpet like material. It seems the body had been there for a few days. There had been no attempt to bury it or hide it, but it was in quite a secluded area, and kind of a small wooded area, so it does seem that someone was trying to hide their tracks to an extent".
