The multi-national pharma giant Pfizer is expected to invest a billion euro in a new bio-tech plant at it's Grange Castle site in Dublin. .
If it goes ahead - it would be one of the largest pharmaceutical investments in the history of the state.
Reports in today's Business Post say plans are at an advanced stage with construction due to commence next Summer.
The company, which already employs 4,000 people here, exports drugs and pharma products to over 100 countries from Ireland.
It currently operates from five Irish locations - three in Dublin, one in Kildare, and a large manufacturing facility in Ringaskiddy here in County Cork.
