The mother of an adult daughter, who lives with an intellectual disability says she has not received an apology from the HSE in person.
It's after reports the Health Service Executive apologised for a letter reminding the woman who lives in Cork of her legal obligation to her daughter to support her financially indefinitely while outlining available supports and options.
She had taken her daughter to an Emergency Department saying she could no longer safely live at home.
Anna, which is not her real name, says she hasn't received the apology:
"It hasn't been issued to me, and that's the difference. It's been more of a press statement in response to journalists, I suppose, doing their work. So I certainly would welcome a personal apology"
