Locals in Carrigaline are rallying together to support neighbours after a large house fire which spread to neighbouring homes yesterday.
A large operation was launched shortly after midday in Upper Kilmoany as over 30 fire crew members from stations across the county battled the blaze and evacuated residents.
Speaking to RedFM News, Carrigaline TD Seamus McGrath says it's a huge relief that no one was injured:
"I think everyone is shocked at the seriousness of the incident. But I have to say the community did come through. Even yesterday, I see the fire service themselves were thanking the community for providing them with refreshments and sandwiches and tea and so on during the course of the operation but everyone is shocked at the scale of the incident and very much relieved that no-one was injured."
