Members of the Oireachtas will protest outside the the Russian embassy later this morning demanding the expulsion of the Russian Ambassador.
Yesterday the embassy condemned what it called a "criminal act of insanity", after a truck was reversed through its gates.
In a statement, the Embassy said it believes "no people of sound mind could support such senseless and barbaric actions."
Fine Gael spokesperson on European Affairs Neale Richmond said it is time for the government to act and expel the ambassador.
"I'm calling on the Irish government, every single minister, to express their beliefs that the Russian ambassador, and the entire Russian diplomatic team in Dublin should be expelled."
