New Zealand is entering another lockdown after it recorded its first community transmission case of Covid-19 since February.
The Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said authorities there were working on the assumption the infection in Auckland is the Delta varient, with no clear link between the case and the border.
The entire country will enter a three-day lockdown, while Auckland will have restrictions for a week.
It means New Zealanders will only be allowed to leave their home for exercise, medical supplies and to visit supermarkets.
Prime Minister Ardern says she's not taking any chances.
"I want to assure New Zealand that we have planned for this eventuality, and that we will now be putting in place that plan, to contain and stamp out Covid-19 once again.
"Going hard and early has worked for us before."
