The US President has launched a new plan, which he hopes will 'end cancer as we know it'.
Joe Biden said he wants to see a 50% reduction in the incidence of the illness in, within 25 years.
The plan includes changes in methods of testing, and improving access to treatment.
Professor Seamus O'Reilly, consultant medical oncologist at Cork University Hospital, says it'll accelerate innovation in cancer treatments.
