Cabinet Ministers will be updated on Ireland's response to the war in Ukraine this morning.

Last night an online registration page through the Irish Red Cross was launched for people offering accommodation and other help.

Ministers will be updated on how Ireland is responding to the war in Ukraine as more than 500 people are being housed in hotels by the Government.

Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue will also meet with farming groups later to discuss having farmers grow crops to avoid potential food shortages.

There will be a focus from the Cabinet on International Women's Day.

The Department of Health will launch the 2022 Women's Health Action Plan - which will include funding for free contraceptives for 17 to 25 year olds, three new specialist menopause clinics, 2 more regional fertility hubs and period poverty initiatives across local authorities.

Cabinet will also approve the BusConnects preliminary plan this morning.

That will allow planning applications to be submitted for the main bus corridors and the development of next generation ticketing like mobile apps.

Construction is expected to start in 2024 and last until 2030.

Cabinet will also discuss €500m being given to Ireland this year out of the EU Brexit Adjustment Reserve Fund and convene a meeting on how it should be spent.
