Boris Johnson and Ursula von der Leyen will meet in Brussels tonight to try and keep talks on a post-Brexit trade deal alive.

Yesterday the EU's chief negotiator Michel Barnier described the chances of an agreement as "very slim".

That was despite a breakthrough on an inspections regime for goods crossing between Britain and Northern Ireland.

Cróna Clohissey, Brexit spokesperson for Chartered Accountants Ireland, says many Irish business owners haven't prepared at all.

"The good news about the NI protocol is that the hard border on the island of Ireland will be avoided.

"But even a Brexit deal is still going to mean customs administrions, it's going to mean customs declarations.

"There's a lack of expertise out there to help businesses with that. There are certain things you can do now to prepare. There are certain customs administrations - registering with Revenue for a tax number essentially to move goods.

"There are things you need to be doing."
